Ground Station

The ground station includes projects that support ground based monitoring and tracking of the balloon payloads.  However, the designs are generic and suitable for use in a wide variety of radio applications.

IRLP

IRLP is a system that allows monitoring and communications with the cross band repeater through remote Internet connections.
Mobile GPS

The Mobile GPS project is a small circuit board that adapts a Motorola M12/M12+ GPS engine for use in an automotive environment.
ATV Receiver

A battery powered, portable S-Band (2.4 GHz) FM video receiver using LCD display technology is ideal for field work.
GNU Radio

GNU Radio is the latest in SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology.  Here are some projects and information that rely on the GNU Radio and USRP (Universal Software Radio Peripheral).
LED Clock

This modern LED clock was built with bright-blue, large-format 4" tall 7-segment digits and utilizes a GPS receiver for precision time keeping.
Nixie Tube Clock If you remember the opening sequence to the 70's television series, The Six Million Dollar Man, there is a fast counting digital display made from Nixie Tubes. Fast forward to 2006, and the Nixie Tube is still around and used in clocks.
Nixie Tube Clock Old school, retro AM Tube radio. Gotta love the glow of those tubes!
